🏆NOW WE HEAR FROM THE FOUNDER OF NOAH'S ARK QUALITY CHILDCARE SHELLEY NORMAN

"I have been working with children since I was a little girl. On a more professional level, I have worked with children since 1988. I worked as a headteacher in the Kedren Head Start program of the Los Angeles Unified School District. In 1989 I opened my own daycare center-where I really protected, loved, and cared for many children that were left in my care. My daycares were always full due to-I belief- the love and patience I have for children, the trust I gained with parents and employees. I closed my daycare in 1997, went back to school in order to learn more about teaching children, not just caring for them. I then went back into the preschool field for seven years. As of 2005, I have opened my daycare again.
I am a credentialed preschool teacher who meets the requirements of early childhood education of the State of California. Also, I have received a certificate in early childhood education and administration. I have accomplished 48 units in child growth and development; continuously attend workshops to further my education.
Additional responsibilities at Noah’s Ark Quality Academy are to provide safe licensed child care that will support the little ones spiritually, physically, socially, intellectually, and emotionally. - I don’t believe that I am a great provider by chance. I believe this is truly my gift. I feel I have the love, knowledge, patience, and experience in order to provide a warm, stimulating, and loving environment in which a child can learn and grow. I’m proud to be part of the growing field of early childhood education. My full dedication and love are given to all children in my care with a guarantee of trust and satisfaction from the parents and also hope to bring peace of mind and support to all the parents and families by providing a safe, warm and loving environment.”

Family-Owned Business Since 1989 Serving Los Angeles, Lakewood, Bellflower, Cerritos, Compton, Windsor Hills, CA, and the surrounding areas with 33 years of experience.
Being Christian, we strive for excellence in the Christian lifestyle, and we are concerned with the spiritual growth of the child as well as the growth of the total child in the development of social, emotional, physical, and mental well-being. We believe that makes us different from our competition. We have been called by God to make a difference in young children’s minds. To give boys and girls from all walks of life a good foundation and by showing them love, respect, and faith that God loves them and so do we. We know our purpose in life. Not just for economic gain, but because of our growing concern over the fate of our children. The mission of Noah’s Ark Family Academy is to enrich the quality of family life by providing peace of mind to parents and by enhancing the life experiences of the children in our care. It is our belief and mission to ensure that each child is seen as a unique individual. We will provide developmentally appropriate programs that focus on the process of learning and help children enjoy successful experiences. We encourage not just learning, but the love of learning.

Poem
Although I’m not their mother, I care for them each day, I cuddle, sing and read to them, and watch them as they play, I see each new accomplishment, and help them grow and learn, I understand their language and I listen with concern, They come to me for comfort and I kiss away their tears, They proudly show their work to me, I give the loudest cheers, Know I’m not their mother, But my role is just as strong, I nurture them and keep them safe though maybe not for long, I know someday the time may come that we will have to part. But I know each child I’ve cared for is forever in my heart.
